My journey in photography began with a fascination for the unseen layers of human emotion. Over time, my artistic voice evolved from simply capturing reality to constructing conceptual narratives that blend the human form with organic, surreal elements. As the creator behind mhr_photoarts, I focus on the dialogue between vulnerability and strength, using texture and symbolism to explore the profound transformations that occur beneath the surface of our visible identities.

“Under the True Skin” explores transformation as an inner act of becoming. I wanted to depict the moment where inherited identities and imposed roles collapse to reveal a more authentic, raw self.

I use physical textures as a metaphor for mental states. In this piece, the cracked, bark-like surface represents the erosion of the “outer shell”—a necessary decay that must happen before true inner renewal can begin.

Symbolism is the heartbeat of this work. The white serpent represents continuity, rebirth, and a latent strength that exists even in moments of vulnerability. The closed eyes signify a conscious shift from external appearance to internal awareness.

Post-production is where I finalize the “atmosphere of transition.” It allows me to heighten the contrast between decay and emergence, ensuring the viewer feels the quiet, radical process unfolding within the frame.

Success is when an image stops being just a visual object and starts becoming an emotional mirror for the viewer. If someone looks at these layers and reflects on their own transformation, I have achieved my goal as an artist.

I hope they experience a sense of “quiet radicalism.” I want them to feel the beauty in vulnerability and recognize that the process of “becoming” is a powerful act of strength.

This recognition is a powerful validation of staying true to one’s personal vision. My advice to young fine art photographers is to look inward: your most authentic “signature” is found not in following trends, but in the radical truths you are willing to explore beneath the skin.
