Rules

Eligibility, file preparation, copyright, judging, and award conditions.

Eligibility

Artistic Photography Awards is open to amateur and professional photographers from around the world. Anyone over 18 years of age can enter, except employees of the Artistic Photography Awards, associated companies, and employees of prize sponsors.

By registering and entering the competition, participants accept the Terms and Conditions and acknowledge that the Artistic Photography Awards may receive their registration data.

General Conditions

Entries must be uploaded through Iapawards.com by following the on-screen instructions. Submitted content may be published, edited, or removed at the discretion of the Artistic Photography Awards.

Submitted images may be used by the Artistic Photography Awards and its media partners solely for competition-related marketing and promotion. Awarded entries will be published online. There is no limit to the number of entries, no restriction on when an image was created, and the same image may be entered in multiple categories.

How to Enter

Create an online profile, upload the images, and pay the entry fees. An entry is submitted once payment is complete, and a confirmation email is sent after payment.

Preparing Files

Photographs must be JPEG files, resized to 1500 pixels on the longest side.

  • sRGB or Adobe RGB 98 colour space, 8-bit
  • Longest dimension equal to 1500 pixels
  • JPEG quality setting of 10 (100%) or higher
  • No watermarks, copyright marks, logos, or borders
  • Do not use characters such as @, $, or # in file names

Entry Fees and Deadline

Final deadline: November 10, 2025

Entry fee: USD $15 per single entry

Winners announcement: December 2025

Prize

USD $1,000 cash prize, IAPA Trophy, and category awards. The cash prize is paid in US dollars through PayPal. Currency transfer fees are deducted from the winning amount, and no prize alternatives are available.

Copyright

Copyright always remains with the photographer. For selected images, copyright holders grant the Artistic Photography Awards non-exclusive rights to use high-resolution images for contest-related promotion across media, without remuneration.

Awarded low-resolution images may be displayed on the IAPA website and social platforms. They will not be resold, and uses unrelated to the awards will be referred to the photographer.

Judging Conditions

Entries are judged by nominated judges, category by category. Category winners are selected from the highest individual image scores.

The decision of the Artistic Photography Awards is final and no appeals are accepted. Winners are announced one month after the final submission deadline.
